‘The Parliament House, Dublin’, by James Malton c. 1793.

View of the Parliament House, College Green, Dublin, Ireland, showing the West Front of Trinity College. According to Maurice Craig, Malton chose this viewpoint and direction to show only Sir Edward Lovett Pearce’s 1729 South colonnade and not the curved additions to East and West, by Gandon and Park. An earlier version of this plate had three pigs in the foreground, being driven by the man on the left with outstretched stick. Only his dog remains. The equestrian statue of King William III is just out of frame to the left.
