THE LAST GUNMAN (JULY 1997)
An IRA man in the nationalist lower Ormeau area fires at police manning a roadblock on the bridge across the River Lagan. Everyone dived for cover. The gunman was the coolest person there. No one was injured. Within weeks, the IRA declared its second ceasefire.
