LUCKY TO BE ALIVE (MARCH 1987)

Irish Republican Socialist Party (IRSP) member Kevin McQuillan was the target of several assassination bids. Here he recuperates after being shot in the head in an attack at his home. In July 2003, the forty-four-year-old was told by police that his personal details had been found on loyalist intelligence documents. Even included was his nickname, ‘Bap’. the one-time IRSP member criticised police for only informing him in July about the discovery, made in January.
