Isabella M. Tod (1836-96), a leading pioneer of educational opportunities for girls c. 1890.

Tod was also a philanthropist, suffragist and unionist. By the time of her death on 8 December 1896, she had done much to deserve the title of 'the most prominent woman in late nineteenth-century Belfast'.
