HOME AT LAST (OCTOBER 1989)

Gerry Conlon of the Guildford Four returns to his family in Belfast a few days after his conviction was quashed. Only myself, photographer John Harrison and a reporter were there when he came to the house. No one else knew he was coming home. We’d interviewed Mrs Conlon a number of times over the years. The circumstances weren’t always hopeful. I was glad to be there at the conclusion.
